This Privacy Policy explains how Escaped Pixels Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use Shop AI. We are a UK private limited company (Company No. 14782773), with our registered office at 797 Harrow Road, Sudbury Town, Wembley, Middlesex, HA0 2LP, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described below. This policy is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Information We Collect
When you interact with Shop AI, we may collect: your mobile phone number (used as your account identifier), your display name where you have shared it with us via the messaging platform, the messages you send us, the products you ask us to track, your preferences (such as region, language and target prices), and basic technical information such as timestamps and approximate region inferred from your phone's country code. We do not collect bank details, payment details, ID documents, addresses, or any special-category personal data.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the service — replying to your messages, tracking the products you have asked us to monitor, sending you price alerts you have opted in to, and improving the quality of our recommendations. We also use it to detect abuse and protect the integrity of the service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Legal Bases
We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR: performance of a contract (delivering the service you have asked for); legitimate interests (protecting the service, improving recommendations, and analysing aggregate usage); and consent (where you opt in to additional communications such as a newsletter). You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Sharing Your Information
We share limited personal information only with the service providers strictly needed to operate Shop AI — for example, the messaging platform that delivers our replies, our cloud database, and the AI providers that power our recommendations. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement and processes information only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where required by law.

5. Affiliate Links
Shop AI uses affiliate links to retailers. When you tap one of those links and make a purchase, the retailer may set cookies on your device and may share with us aggregated, non-personal information about whether a sale completed. We never receive your name, payment details or basket contents from the retailer. The price you pay is unaffected by our use of affiliate links.

6. International Transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the United Kingdom (for example, in the United States or the European Economic Area). Where we transfer personal information overseas, we rely on UK-recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, or transfers to a country covered by UK adequacy regulations.

7. Data Retention
We retain information about the products you have asked us to track for as long as the watch is active and for 30 days after it expires or is cancelled. We retain your user record for as long as you continue to use Shop AI, or until you request deletion. We keep a hashed (irreversible) audit record of deletions for legal and abuse-prevention purposes; this record does not contain any personal information that could re-identify you.

8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct it if it is wrong; ask us to delete it ("right to erasure"); restrict or object to how we use it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@escapedpixels.com. You can also delete all your information immediately by sending the command "/delete me" through Shop AI.

9. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

10. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, restrict access to personal information to staff who need it, and review our security measures regularly. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this responsibility seriously.

11. Children
Shop AI is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page. Continued use of Shop AI after a change means you accept the updated policy.
